Letter from Richard King
Dear Citizens of Henderson County,
After prayerful consideration and with the support of my family, friends, and neighbors, I am honored to announce my candidacy for Sheriff of Henderson County.
For over 20 years, I have served Madison County and West Tennessee in various law enforcement roles including Correctional Officer, Patrol/Traffic Operations Supervisor, Special Services Sergeant, and Liaison. These experiences have shown me that strong leadership, accountability, and training are the foundations of safe communities.
While I am proud of my professional accomplishments, my greatest roles are those of husband and father. My family inspires me to ensure Henderson County remains a place where every citizen can feel secure and confident in their law enforcement.
If elected as your Sheriff, I will focus on preparing the department for the challenges ahead while upholding the highest standards of integrity and using the county’s resources responsibly. By embracing modern strategies and fostering accountability, we can build a Sheriff’s office that truly earns the community’s trust.
I believe that Henderson County deserves a Sheriff’s Office that prioritizes training and builds lasting partnerships with the people it serves. I would be honored to lead with vision, discipline, and heart, and I respectfully ask for your support and your vote.
Sincerely
Richard King
